Research and Testing Laboratories is a research and development group providing molecular detection, microbial diversity and medical biofilm research and testing services.
Clinical Diagnostic Method Development: RTL has pioneered the development of bacterial Tag-encoded FLX amplicon pyrosequencing as part of our state of the art diagnostic system known as the HUMMERS diagnostic system. This is the High-throughput Universal Molecular Microbial Evaluation and Recognition system. This system includes automated bioinformatics solutions, integration with custom laboratory information management system (LIMS), integration with a custom electronic medical records systems (EMR), and our SMART physician report system which assists physicians in rapid and easy interpretation of results and integrated research methods which can assist in the design and selection of treatments.
RTL has developed and already has in clinical use the most comprehesive rapid diagnostic panel for chronic wounds. This diagnostic panel provides information on the most important pathogens, antibiotic markers, and inflammatory markers associated with chronic wounds. This panel was designed by the worlds leading wound care physician and the world leading molecular development team. Contact us to find out how you can gain access to this tool for your wound care clinic. This powerful diagnostic tool can save you and your patients time, money, and suffering. Are you doing all you can for your patients? Is your physician doing all they can to help you? We care and we know you do too!
RTL research partners currently include the CLIA laboratories of Southwest Regional PCR and Southwest regional Sequencing diagnostic laboratories. We are also partners with the world renoun Southwest Regional Wound Care Center and the clinical diagnostic laboratory of Dr. Randall Wolcott MD CWCS. Our developments include the first comprehensive chronic wound molecular diagnostic panel. This panel can be utilized by clinicians to make rapid diagnostic based decisions of treatment options which can not only save thousands of dollars by reducing empiric antibiotic prescription decision issues but can dramatically improve the prognosis and healing of patients by allowing rapid, directed and focused application of correct Rx and treatments. |
